What Are We About?

While Dorchester is a thriving community with a lot of momentum, many residents don't know about all the resources available and events happening. This project works to create a bridge between the residents of the Bowdoin Geneva area and the organizations who strive to foster a nurturing and resourceful community.

Our Story

The Healthy Bowdoin Geneva (HBG) Initiative is a Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Community-based Health Initiative created to address the identified priority of Healthy Neighborhoods in the Bowdoin-Geneva area of Boston.

This is a neighborhood where we want to move forward in our challenges and seize opportunities for growth that have been identified in Bowdoin Geneva's diversity, neighborly connections, healthcare services and local businesses. We are a neighborhood of strengths.
